Each entry defines the term/ concept under consideration, then offers more sustained discussion of the topic, paying particular attention to its relevance for the study of the Bible and related literature. This new in paperback edition features a new chapter on Oral Tradition and the Hebrew Bible by Werner Kelber, Rice University, USA.
