Their relationship is that of siblings but, as time passes and circumstances tear them apart, stronger emotions are revealed. The author’s mastery of devious plotting, replete with cruel twists of fate that maximize the protagonist’s danger and fear for their loved one, keeps the novel moving at a brisk pace and qualify it as one of the most rousing entries in the Tarzan saga.
